Unmatched Expertise
Our lead BCBA has been in the field for over 20+ years. She has consulted and presented in all 50 states with some of the most difficult cases of self harm and non communicative kid's. Teaching other Psychologists, parents and clinics. She has presented numerous times as a guest speaker at ABAI, NCABA, and other surrounding ABA conferences and is well known throughout the industry for her work with kids with Autism and Spectrum Disorders.
Why we started our own clinic
After working for several ABA Clinics, it became apparent the majority are private equity owned. They could not hire and retain quality, experienced candidates and did not have the kids or the staff's best interest at heart. Staff turn over was high and progress was minimal to non existent, and the companies didn't care. Many clinics were more a tune to daycare centers than true ABA clinics. We created Acorn Autism to be a best in care, outcome based clinic. A place where kid's and clinician's look forward to working together with the resources they desperately needed and most importantly making the most progress possible for each child.
Who do we work with...
In our early career as a school Psychologist, it was evident many of the kids we worked with did not have the skills necessary to begin kindergarten successfully.
- Our primary focus is Autistic children from 2-8yrs old in our clinic setting.
- In home therapy will be considered for any child 2-16yrs old
- We also offer in school therapy if we are able to establish a working relationship with your child's school staff.
